The Fluorite Heirloom Rosary pictured below is so stunning that a Baptist friend of mine exclaimed upon seeing it, "Oh! This is so absolutely beautiful, I wish I was Catholic!" This gave me the opening to share with her that Our Lady's Rosary prayer itself is nothing but a meditation upon the Beauty of our God (Psalm 27:4), something every Christian should desire. In the Rosary, the heart is lifted up in the mystery of Jesus the Son of God, Who being the very Image of the Father, must be the very Incarnation of Beauty Itself; in the Rosary, the soul meditates with God's most beautiful daughter (Cant. 4:1), the Virgin Mary, who forever treasuring and pondering the mysteries of the rosary in her heart (Luke 2:19), and through her conjugal union with the Holy Spirit, perfectly conforms to the beauty of her Son (Is.28:5).
The Cross has Jesus fixed to it to remind us that Jesus became sin so that we could be reconciled to God (2 Cor. 5:20,21). To symbolize redemption, the Crucifix is made of bronze like the brazen serpent that Moses fixed on a pole to save the Israelites from the venom of the desert snakes (Numbers 21:9).
The three round fluorite gemstones that ascend from the Cross are transparent (signifying the light of grace) shades of blue, green and red symbolizing the three theological virtues: Faith, Hope, and Charity. At each bead, pray that these virtues increase in us! (Luke 17:5; Heb. 10:23; Thes. 3:12)
These virtue gems are embraced from above and below with oblong Fluorite gemstones streaked in red, symbolizing the saving Baptismal Water and nourishing Eucharistic Blood that gushed out of the side of Jesus, the font of all graces. Reminding us that the saints excelled in these virtues (1 Thes. 1:3), these grace beads stream up toward the circle of five decades. These graces are channeled in His Blood to Mary in the highest degrees so that she might be fit for her role first as Mother of the Our Lord and Redeemer (Luke 1:43) and consequently as the Mother of the Saints (John 19:26); I represent this channeling of grace to Mary with beads leading directly from the Cross to a center containing the first letters of Gabriel's greeting to Mary, Ave Maria, that hailed the coming of her Redeemer. The center is cast in bronze to signify Mary's own redemption, in which she was entirely saved from sin by the grace of her Son's cross, thus allowing her to cooperate with her Son in our own redemption and salvation.
The circuit of beads signifies the Mystical Body of Christ (Col. 1:18) joined to Christ the Head and all His graces through the neck, signified by this bronze Marian center piece. For preserved "without spot" (Cant.4:7) in purity and strength from the moment of her conception, a "neck like an ivory tower" (Cant. 7:4), Mary was the first member of humanity to be redeemed by the Cross, and with the consent of her will and in the fruit of her womb, she was the first member of the Church to be joined to God through the Incarnation of the Word, and in the Pentecostal birth of the Church, she was the first member of the Christ's Body to be joined to Christ the Head.
Catholic art, like the rosary itself, is a prayer, "lifting up our hearts with our hands to the Lord in the heavens." (Lamentations 3:41) I thank all my patrons for making it possible for me to continue to spread praise for the Beauty of the Lord, and for sharing in my apostolate of prayer!

- Blue is the bright vault of heaven, signifying that that through the gift of Heavenly Faith, the life of Heaven that we hope for is first made real in us. (Hebrews 11:1)
- Green is the Epiphany of new spring life, signifying that through Saving Hope we look forward to our own resurrection into Life Eternal. (Romans 8:24)
- Red is Pentecostal fire descending from above, signifying that through Divine Charity, our hearts burn with love for the things of Heaven and bear fruit. (1 Cor. 13:2, 13)
